Task Tide
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 September 2025
Neon Pulse (“we”, “us”, “our”), based on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, develops and operates the Task Tide mobile application (“App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App processes and how it is used.
If you have questions, contact us at support@neonpulse.com.au.
Summary
- We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect your name, email, contacts, photos, or precise location.
-
The App uses:
- Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and limited diagnostics tied to an app‑generated, anonymous installation ID.
- Google AdMob to show ads (which may process device/advertising identifiers as described in Google’s policies).
- Crash logs are retained by Crashlytics for approximately 90 days by default. We do not keep separate copies.
- Reminders and your task data are stored locally on your device (and any backup services you choose via your device/OS).
Information we process
Crash reports and diagnostics (Firebase Crashlytics)
When the App crashes or encounters a critical error, Crashlytics collects an app‑generated, anonymous installation identifier; stack traces and error details; basic device/OS info (e.g., model, OS version, app version, free storage); coarse context “breadcrumbs” (e.g., which screen opened); and timestamps and generalized locale information.
Purpose: to find and fix stability issues, improve reliability, and ensure the App works as intended.
Retention: Crashlytics retains crash data for ~90 days (per Google’s default retention). We do not extend this period or export crash logs elsewhere.
Provider: Firebase Crashlytics (Google). See Google’s Privacy Policy and Crashlytics privacy.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version of the App displays ads using Google AdMob, which may process your device’s advertising identifier (e.g., AAID), IP address, general location (derived from IP), device/OS info, and ad interaction data (impressions, clicks), along with signals used for fraud prevention and measurement.
We do not receive personally identifying information from AdMob.
Controls: You can reset or limit your device’s advertising ID and opt out of personalized ads in your device settings. See Google’s ads policy and help article.
Regional controls (EEA/UK/CH): Users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland may be shown a consent message provided by Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP). You can review or change your ad consent choices at any time in the App under Settings → Manage ad privacy options. Your selection determines whether ads are personalized; if you decline, you may still see non‑personalized ads.
App data (tasks, reminders)
Your tasks, categories, and reminder schedules are stored locally on your device. Reminders are scheduled on‑device. Unless you choose a platform backup/sync option provided by your OS or another app, we do not receive this data.
How we use information
- Diagnose crashes and quality issues.
- Ensure core features (like notifications) work as expected.
- Show ads to help fund development of the free App.
We do not sell personal information.
Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children. If you are a parent/guardian and believe your child used the App and provided information to us via support contact, email us and we will address it.
Data security
We use reputable third‑party providers (Google/Firebase) for diagnostics and ads. While no method is perfectly secure, we take reasonable steps to protect information processed through those services.
International transfers
Crash/diagnostic and ad data may be processed on servers outside your country by Google and its affiliates, under their policies and safeguards.
Your choices
- Reset/limit your advertising ID and opt out of personalized ads in device settings.
- If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, review or change your ad consent anytime in the App: Settings → Manage ad privacy options.
- Uninstalling the App stops all further data processing by the App.
- For crash reports associated with your installation, you may contact us and provide your device model, OS version, and approximate crash time so we can assist with a deletion request where feasible.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. Material changes will be posted in an updated version with a new “Last updated” date.
